The Raising of a Billionaire
Warren Buffett was born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 30, 1930 to a stock broker and his wife. He was the only boy and immediately took interest in his father's business and began to learn the trade of investing by just watching his father. He got a first hand look at how investing worked by going to work with his dad and helping him out with certain jobs (Warren Buffett, Gale Encyclopedia). From an early age many people saw that Buffett had a talent when it came to mathematics and dealing with finances. His father moved the family to Washington D.C. because his father served four terms in the U.S. House of Representatives (Lowe 2). There Buffett continued learning about finances and investing money. It was said that when he was a young boy he would put pinball machines in local barbershops across D.C. and take the money he earned from them to invest in more machines. He graduated high school at the age of 16 and went onto college at University of Nebraska and then continued school at Columbia University graduate school where he earned his mater's degree in Business (Warren Buffett Business Leader...).
