Warren Buffett's vision was to become wealthy. Even though this may sound like a shallow vision, he wanted to use his talents to the best of his ability and make something out of himself. He wanted to take a small sum of money and turn it into a huge amount. Warren Buffet is also known for encouraging billionaires to give a lot of their money to charity and become philanthropists. Buffett is known for his charitable works and donating a lot of his money to several charities. On August 24th, 2006, Buffett made a huge donation to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. According to Reuters, Buffett “transferred 500,000 shares of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. Class B stock, worth approximately $1.6 billion, to the foundation.” (Warren Buffet, Gale Encyclopedia) Buffett was very involved in his hometown of Omaha, he donated over $1 million to continue to have minor league baseball stay around in Omaha (Warren E. Buffett, International Directory). Even being swarmed in a huge amount of money, according to Forbes Buffett has $31 billion dollars, he remains a very humble and down to earth man.
